Turning the lights off can shave pennies, but no one wants to live in the dark! You can also shave money by the kind of light you use. Special bulbs are now manufactured that use less wattage and last longer than traditional light bulbs. If this isn’t an option you can still save on your electric bill by using lower watt bulbs: substitute a 60 watt light for 100, especially on porch lights that stay on all night and you’ve cut on your overall electric usage.
